ਸੁਪਰੀਮ ਕੋਰਟ ਨੇ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ acid ਦੀ retail sale ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੰਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹੋਰ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਨਿਯਮ ਲਾਗੂ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣ। ਅਦਾਲਤ ਨੇ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਜਤਾਈ ਕਿ 2013 ਵਿੱਚ retail sale ਨੂੰ regulate ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਹਦਾਇਤਾਂ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ acid ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਆਸਾਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। Chief Justice Surya Kant ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਾਲੀ bench ਨੇ ਕੇਂਦਰ, ਸੂਬਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ Union Territories ਨੂੰ acid-attack survivors ਲਈ ਛੇ ਹਫ਼ਤਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਢੁਕਵੇਂ rehabilitation measures ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
