ਭਾਰਤ ਨੇ ਸਿੰਧੂ ਜਲ ਸੰਧੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਹੇਗ ਸਥਿਤ Court of Arbitration ਦੇ ਫ਼ੈਸਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਭਾਰਤ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਸ tribunal ਨੂੰ ਉਸਦੇ sovereign decisions ’ਤੇ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। Tribunal ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ 1960 ਦੀ Indus Waters Treaty ਲਾਗੂ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ Ratle hydroelectric project ਦੇ ਕੁਝ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਅਸਥਾਈ ਹਦਾਇਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਭਾਰਤ ਇਸ arbitration process ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਮੰਨਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ Treaty ਅਧੀਨ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀ Neutral Expert ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ parallel arbitration ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ।
