ਭਾਰਤੀ ਮੂਲ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਮਾਹਿਰ ਅਤੇ Community Leader ਪੀਆ ਡਾਂਡੀਆ ਨੇ ਫਲੋਰੀਡਾ ਦੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਬਣਾਏ ਗਏ 22ਵੇਂ Congressional District ਤੋਂ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ House of Representatives ਲਈ Democratic Party ਦੀ Nomination ਜਿੱਤ ਲਈ ਹੈ।
ਫਲੋਰੀਡਾ ਦੇ ਗੈਰ-ਰਸਮੀ Election Night Results ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਡਾਂਡੀਆ ਨੂੰ 26,053 ਵੋਟਾਂ, ਯਾਨੀ 68.57 ਫ਼ੀਸਦੀ, ਮਿਲੀਆਂ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਕੇਸੀਆ ਅਰਲੀ ਨੂੰ 11,940 ਵੋਟਾਂ, ਯਾਨੀ 31.43 ਫ਼ੀਸਦੀ, ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਈਆਂ।
ਭਾਰਤ ਤੋਂ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਗਏ ਮਾਪਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਡਾਂਡੀਆ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾ, School Principal, Policy Professional ਅਤੇ Technology Sector Executive ਵਜੋਂ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਚੋਣ ਸਿਆਸਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਮੂਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਧਦੀ ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਹੁਣ 3 ਨਵੰਬਰ 2026 ਨੂੰ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੀ General Election ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ Republican ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਕੇਸੀ ਅਸਕਰ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਹੈ।
ਇਹ ਜਿੱਤ ਸਿਰਫ਼ Democratic Party ਦੀ Nomination ਹੈ; ਡਾਂਡੀਆ ਹਾਲੇ Congress ਲਈ ਚੁਣੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਗਈ। ਜਾਰੀ ਅੰਕੜੇ ਗੈਰ-ਰਸਮੀ Election Night Results ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਰਸਮੀ Certification ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਹੀ ਅੰਤਿਮ ਮੰਨੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
