Australia ’ਚ 7.5 ਲੱਖ Temporary Migrants ਘਟਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਤਜਵੀਜ਼; One Nation ਨੇ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਵੱਡਾ Immigration Plan*
Australia ਦੀ *One Nation Party* ਨੇ immigration ਨੂੰ dramatically ਘਟਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਨਵੀਂ policy proposal ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। Pauline Hanson ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਾਲੀ party ਦਾ ਟੀਚਾ ਤਿੰਨ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ temporary migrant population ਨੂੰ *7.5 ਲੱਖ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਘਟਾਉਣਾ* ਹੈ।
Proposal ਤਹਿਤ Australia ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਝ ਸਮੇਂ ਲਈ *“net-negative migration”* ਲਿਆਉਣ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ—ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ migrants ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵੱਧ ਹੋਵੇ। International students ਅਤੇ temporary skilled migrants ਦੇ family members ਇਸ policy ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ targets ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ।
One Nation international student visas ਨੂੰ ਸਾਲਾਨਾ *ਕਰੀਬ ਇੱਕ ਲੱਖ* ਤੱਕ ਸੀਮਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਵੀ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। Initial three-year reduction ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ net overseas migration ਲਈ ਲਗਭਗ *1.30 ਲੱਖ ਸਾਲਾਨਾ ceiling* proposed ਹੈ।
ਪਰ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ clarification ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ *ਇਹ Australia Government ਦੀ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ policy ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ*। ਇਹ One Nation ਦੀ political proposal ਹੈ।
ਇਸ plan ਦਾ aged care, construction ਅਤੇ agriculture ਵਰਗੇ migrant workers ’ਤੇ dependent sectors ’ਤੇ possible impact ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਵੀ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
