UAE ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤੀਆਂ ਲਈ Biometric Scam Alert
Dubai ਸਥਿਤ Indian Consulate ਨੇ UAE ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਭਾਰਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ fake agents ਤੋਂ ਸਾਵਧਾਨ ਰਹਿਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ passport, Emirates ID, fingerprints, face scans ਜਾਂ ਹੋਰ biometric data ਮੰਗ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। Consulate ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਕੁਝ fraudsters visa regularisation, exit permit, Emergency Certificate ਜਾਂ ਨੌਕਰੀ ਦਿਵਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ’ਤੇ data ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰਕੇ victims ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ’ਤੇ bank account ਖੋਲ੍ਹਣ, loan ਜਾਂ credit card ਲੈਣ ਅਤੇ financial transactions ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵਰਤ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ victims ਨੂੰ ਕਰਜ਼ਾ, fines, travel restrictions ਜਾਂ legal trouble ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਪੈ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। Biometrics ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਤ UAE government facilities ’ਤੇ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਹ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
